First Real Day!

This morning, I woke up refreshed and ready to face the day!  Breakfast was good (with Nutella out to use as a spread!) and I snagged a roll and apple to eat for lunch since they don't serve lunch.  We watched The Christmas Truce and the last of Black Adder episodes.  This week, though, we're trying to cover a bit of what led to the war.

Afterwards, we got on the Tube to go to the National Science Museum.  D'Layna and I accidentally left behind Ally behind at the one station though!  We only waited at our next station about 3 minutes for her before we went up into London!  All the buildings are so lovely but the Natural History Museum was positively breathtaking!  We had some time so D'Layna and I split a scone while Ally had a scone with hot chocolate and then we went in.

We had some specific places that Dr. Airhart wanted us to look at so D'Layna and I went through those exhibits and took notes while Ally tried to go through the entire museum.  It was more interesting than I thought it would be.  First we looked at how the steam engine evolved through the years.  They even had one of the larger ones working with two men there maintaining it!

Next we went through the Making the Modern World Gallery.  It was also fascinating, but I didn't enjoy it as much.  It did have some cool things though that I enjoyed looking at.  After that was the King George III Collection.  I like this section the best because a lot of it was either flashy things that he collected or interesting items.
The last two areas we looked through was the Glimpses of Medical History and the Science and Art of Medicine.  Though the History of Medicine was interesting to look at, I didn't take any pictures because they just could never come out right was how big they were or the lighting or something.  But each of the exhibits showed a 3d glimpse into what it was like then with figurines and items being a still life of what it would have been like.  By the Art of Medicine though, we were tired and I got bored quickly.  I didn't even bother contemplating pictures.

We got back to Highbury just in time for our three course dinner and it was very good.  Too tired for anything else tonight.  My feet and back hurt from walking, my shoulders hurt from lugging around my laptop and backpack yesterday, and my left arm burns from pulling the luggage behind me.  I'm going to mess around a bit more tonight and then probably go to bed.  But we already have plans for Saturday!  It's going to be a blast but you'll have to wait until then to be told!

So excited for everything!!!
