Oh my goodness, last night, a man in the room next to us skyped until, like, 12:30am or something. It wouldn't have been so bad even if he was quiet but he was loudly talking to the person and even tried his hand at singing at one point! D'Layna and I were both so annoyed and so grateful when he finally shut up so that we could go to sleep.
After watching some videos on before WWI and the beginning of the war, we started to head off to the Victoria and Albert Museum. But before we went there, we got Hazelnut and Chocolate Crepes. They were so good but so messy! Oh my goodness, we all had to wash our hands afterwards to clean up the mess.
The museum was gorgeous! We started the tour without some of our group while a former Houghton student led us through the parts of the museum that Dr. Airhart wanted us to see. We weren't supposed to take pictures during the tour and it was really difficult with all the beautiful things we got to see. I could have spent a week in there and never had gotten bored! The architecture was beautiful with gorgeous items throughout!
We had a bit of fun in the area where we could try to put on old fashion clothes. I was too tall for the hoops and too skinny for the adult corset! I tried on the child's one and even that I could close the whole way, even though it was obviously too short. Ally put on the corset too and it was a bunch of fun.
Afterwards, we walked to Hyde Park to see the finished Albert Memorial that we first looked at the model in the museum. It was undergoing repairs so we couldn't see the whole thing but it was still fantastic.
We walked the long way back to the tube so that we saw some more of the beautiful, old buildings in London. Though not all of them looked old, the old ones were my favorites so I took lots of pictures of those ones.
We may be doing a bit of shopping tonight! But until then, goodbye!
