London!

When I got to D'Layna Blauvelt's house after graduation, I was very disappointed to discover that I could not find my crochet hooks no matter how hard I looked.  I did find one in my purse and used that but I wanted to be able to have more than just one.

We got to the airport and and through baggage and security with minimum difficulty though we had a slight delay.  But as I dug through my carry-on, I discovered that I couldn't find my Kindle!  I looked through my bag about ten times and still nothing.  But it wasn't long until the plane boarded and I could wait.  To top it all off, I lost my one crochet hook so I literally had nothing to do but school work.

But, as 8:15 rolled around, a full 45 minutes after our original boarding time and 20 minutes after the changed time, I was bored and hungry since we were going to have dinner on the plane.  Suddenly they mentioned our plane, we got excited and they told us it was another two hour delay.  D'Layna and I both got Auntie Anne's pretzels after both of us talked to our parents for a bit.  Then, after that, I caved and bought a book to read while waiting.

After a six hour delay at the airport, D'Layna Blauvelt and I finally got to board our plane at 1:30am instead of 7:30pm.  We got our in flight dinner at 3am, or was it a dinner for breakfast at 8am London time?  We don't know, all we knew was that we were very grateful to be finally leaving and eating.  The food was really good, which surprised me, and I was determined to take and eat everything they gave me after so long of a delay.

We both got about 2 hours of sporadic sleep on the plane before touch down and we made it to Highbury Center at about 4:30, 3 1/2 hours after we were supposed to be there and 2 1/2 hours after they left for the walk through London.  Grateful for our rooms, after the hour ride on the tube and the mile walk to the center, we collapsed on our beds and slowly started to unpack.  As I began to unpack my carry-on, first I pulled out my Kindle.  How I didn't see it before, neither I nor D'Layna know since she saw me looking for it.  Then, as we were still marveling over that, I pulled out my entire crochet hook case.

Dinner was delicious and we met up with most of the rest of the group.  For now, I am ready to slip into sweet unconsciousness.  I haven't taken any pictures yet, too tired, but tomorrow they will start coming!

Thanks for reading!
